I didn't know weave was a trend!

After having a talk with my o so fab friend Vanessa, I found out that weave is a trend. Just like clothes, here today gone tomorrow. The bob was a popular trend last summer, but that's a wrap. Apparently the new trend in weave is the wavy weave look. Long and wavy. Popular celebrities have been wearing this wavy look. Be'NonSay, Lauren London and Angela Simmons, just to name a few. I'm loving it, if done correctly. So ya'll better get on the boat, because it's getting wavy...(so corny)....lol

A colleague of mines pointed out an article about weave and the effects it has on your real hair. The article made me think about how women use weave glue. Weave glue may get the job done for the moment, but I think that it should be a temporary solution. I have a friend who use to use glue for her tracks and now chic's edges are gone, her hairline is disappearing. Now she has no choice but to wear wigs and weaves unless she wears a bang with her real her.

BEWARE of wearing weaves all the time, let your real hair be free sometimes so when you decide you want to let go of the weaves, your hairline not looking like an apple pie.

We are back at it. Light jean and destructed jeans are back. I'm sure a lot of you have seen people walking around with them on. It took me a while to actually start liking ripped jeans again cause I love my dark blue crisp jeans, but I am starting to like them. I even went out and bought me a pair.

I cannot stand Clogs. I hate that someone has started this trend. Clogs look like they should be used to mop floors. WHY do people insist on wearing them as regular shoes. ARE YOU KIDDING ME. STOP IT. YOU LOOK A FOOL. I literally saw this girl in the club with some turquoise clogs on, SHE LOOKED A FOOL. Enough said.

So.....I'm walking down Michigan Avenue today (shopping of course) and I walked into Nordstroms and no I didn't see a girl with a jean skirt on with nude stockings with some gladiator sandals on. If it was not for my friend holding me back, I was going to go ask her what was she thinking cuz o girl looked a hot funky mess. 

A couple of weeks ago I saw a picture of Beyonce  doing the same thing. KILL UR SELF.

Then what really had me going was that he had a girlfriend and his girlfriend did not know he had herpes and when he had an outbreak and she wanted sex, he would just keep his boxers on while having sex and told his girl that it's just a fantasy of his. WTF to the second power. Out of 20 women that he has had unprotected sex with, he only know of one woman (the mother of his kids) who actually got herpes from him and she knew he had herpes but was willing to take that risk. This Balenciaga "Cherche Midi" clutch is "IT". I saw a lady coming out of Cole Hann yesterday and its obvious chic was fierce with this clutch. All I wanted to do was point to this lady and scream YASSS!...but I did not. Didn't wanna act a fool on Michigan Avenue, as Sheree from ATL housewives would say "Cuz I'm Classy."

Breakfast Anyone

Since my good friend Diamond took me to this breakfast spot by school, I have been in love.
Yolk is a breakfast and lunch spot in the South loop that I absolutely adore. They have a very extensive menu consisting of your favorite breakfast foods and some with a twist. Now i haven't been there for lunch but I am sure lunch is good too. I love a place that has great portion sizes and Yolk definitely does not slack on the portions. Go try it out one day. Their open from 6am-3p daily. YOLK

Get Ya Monies in Order

When the new year came about I decided that I wanted to get my money in order. Ya know, start saving more and spending less. Easy to say hard to do, especially since I LOVE to shop. I can admit that I am somewhat of a shopaholic. I have gotten better though. Now a days I try to only buy things that are on sale. If it's not on sale then it's not for me. But that seems not to work since this whole recession has come up and everything wants to be on sale.

To help me get my money in order, I start using this site called Mint. With mint you link it to all your banking accounts, student loans, mortgage, credit cards or what have you and it breaks everything down into categories, such as Entertainment, Food and Dining, Clothes, Bills, etc. Then it shows you a pie chart which lets you see what you are spending your money on the most. It's a great site that I highly recommend. It's FREE and SECURE, so go try it out. You'll be surprised about where most of your money goes to. I know I was.

Your eyebrows shape and frame your face. I prefer that women go to a professional to get their eyebrows together rather then doing them their selves.
